Does it get any better than this? Hmmm... that would be a "no". Jill Hennessy is a drop-dead-gorgeous
actress who also possesses talent and intelligence. Her show-business career began inauspiciously: she played guitar
and sang for money in the subways of New York City. She got her break when she was cast in a small part in the movie
"Dead Ringers"; her identical twin sister Jacqueline also appeared in the film. She went on to play ADA Kincaid
on the TV show "Law and Order" for 3 years; later she was cast in the title role on "Crossing Jordan". That's where
I first noticed her; what really impressed me, though, was when I saw her on Carson Daly's late-night talk show. Carson
handed her a guitar and asked her to play something by several musicians from different genres; Hennessy was up to the challenge
each time. She also spoke of her trip to Ireland, where she played a Pogues song in a pub. Later I learned
that Hennessy is multilingual. (She's fluent in German, for example.) When she was young, she had to prepare a
lot of meals for her family; out of necessity, she learned to cook, and she's now the owner of
Hennessy Tavern in Northvale, New Jersey.
