Penelope Cruz is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. Born in Madrid, she was intensively
taught in ballet and jazz before turning to acting. In 1992, she starred in two Spanish films, "Jamon Jamon" and "Belle
Epoque". The latter was a huge success in Spain, winning nine Goya Awards; it also won a U.S. Academy Award as
Best Foreign Film. In 1997, she starred in the intriguing "Abre Los Ojos" ("Open Your Eyes"), later remade in English
as "Vanilla Sky" (2001). She's also appeared in "Carne Trémula", "Todo Sobre Mi Madre",
"All The Pretty Horses", "Blow", "Gothika", and "Non Ti Muovere". Sadly, her most critically-acclaimed movies
have not been in English. As a result, many Americans, upon hearing her name, immediately associate her with Tom Cruise,
her significant other after his split with Nicole Kidman.
