The first time I remember seeing Angelina Jolie was in the trailer for "The Bone Collector"; I thought she
was Ashley Judd. No making that mistake now, of course.
Jolie was great in "Gia" (1998), the made-for-cable movie that brought her an Emmy nomination. The
next year, she won an Oscar for "Girl, Interrupted". I was impressed to learn how many of her own stunts she did for
"Tomb Raider" (2001). I'm also impressed by the compassion and heart she's displayed working for good causes (as a U.N.
goodwill ambassador, for example) and adopting a Cambodian child.
