Lisa Kudrow became my favorite "Friends" girl when I found out she played on the tennis team at Vassar College while
earning her biology degree. She was urged to go into acting by a family friend, Jon Lovitz (who, of course, later became a
star on "Saturday Night Live"). After an appearance on "Cheers" and a couple forgettable films, in 1993 she began a recurring
role on "Mad About You" as Ursula. The next year, she was cast as Ursula's twin sister Phoebe on "Friends", making her one
of the most recognizable faces on television and bringing her a Screen Actor's Guild award and a Golden Globe nomination.
She also won critical praise for her performance in "The Opposite Of Sex" (1998). Her other films include "Clockwatchers"
and "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" (1997), and "Analyze This" (1999).
