Sometime in the early '90's, I realized that Helen Hunt was absolutely adorable. This was probably
due to the exposure she got after "Mad About You" became a hit; the show began in 1992 and, over the course of seven
seasons, brought Hunt both Emmy and Golden Globe wins.
Helen Hunt landed her first movie role (1977's "Rollercoaster") while barely a teen; she'd been acting on
TV even earlier. Through 1984, she appeared almost exclusively on the small screen, but then began getting steady (though
not very high-profile) movie work, including a part in 1986's "Peggy Sue Got Married". She was in some good projects
(such as 1988's "Miles From Home", 1989's made-for-TV "Incident at Dark River", 1991's "The Waterdance", and 1992's "Bob Roberts")
before "Mad About You" made her a household name. 1996 brought the action flick "Twister", and 1997 saw her win an Academy
Award and a Golden Globe for "As Good As It Gets". In 2000 she appeared in four movies: "Cast Away" (with Tom Hanks),
"Pay It Forward" (with Kevin Spacey), "What Women Want" (with Mel Gibson), and "Dr. T and the Women" (with Richard Gere).
