Famke Janssen was born in the Netherlands on New Year's Day, 1964. She was raised in Holland but moved to New York after
high school to further her modeling career. After studying creative writing and literature at Columbia University, she turned
to acting. In 1995 she turned heads playing seductress/boa constrictor Xenia Onatopp in the James Bond thriller "Goldeneye".
In 1998 she appeared in six films: "Rounders", "The Faculty", "The Gingerbread Man", "Monument
Ave.", "Deep Rising", and "Celebrity". Since then, she's starred in "Circus", "Love
And Sex", and "Don't Say A Word", as well as playing a telekinetic super-hero in the X-Men movies.
